Morocco holiday highlights

  • The contrasts of Marrakech, from the monumental history of the El Badi Palace and Koutoubia Mosque to the vibrancy of Djema el Fna at sundown, with musicians and acrobats, snake charmers and street food sellers.
  • Experiencing the contrasts of Marrakech!!”
We spend 5 nights at the Riad from 6th - 11th of June 2009. The Riad is beautifully decorated and the owner, Jill with her personnel, work effortlessly to make sure guests take the most out of the hotel and of Marrakech (restaurants, shopping, sight-seeing etc etc). We stayed at a standard room which is very nicely furbished, but a little small. What is amazing about this Riad is its location. It is situated inside Old Marrakech (Medina) and in order to get to the hotel, one has to walk through some very picturesque alleys that make you feel medieval but are safe otherwise. Then the Riad's door opens and you find yourself pampered in luxury. A true hidden gem, an oasis. It is a great option if you want to stay in the Medina. and not the more "European" side of the new city.
Riad Noir d'Ivoire: Beautiful, elegant & relaxing !!Overall this Riad deserves all 5 stars.

• Other beautiful imperial cities Meknes and Fes - get lost in the tiny, winding, sensuous alleyways of Fez Medina!
The most complete medieval city of the Arab world, Fes is a strange and appealing mix of middle ages meets the modern world. The extraordinary medina city of Fes El Bali is worth a few days walking in itself. Other highlights include the Merenid tombs, the Royal Palace and the Mellah (Jewish quarter). Fes was Morocco's capital for more than 400 years and is still considered the religious and cultural center of the country.

• The fascinating Berber villages of the High Atlas.
This excursion takes you to the northern edge of the Souss Valley into the foothills of the lofty High Atlas mountains just 35 minutes drive north of Taroudant and is centred around visits to an area not normally visited by foreigners.

• The golden beaches of the Atlantic and Mediterranean coast.
There are many beautiful Moroccan Beaches to show you. Morocco on Western Africa is blessed by two coastlines, the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the Mediterranean Sea on the north. This long shoreline provides for amazing beaches. Tourism from Europe to Morocco is on the rise for years.

• The superlative golf courses and exhilarating activities.

Whistler Bungee, British Columbia's highest and most pristine year round bungee jumping site, located 15 min south of world renowned Whistler Village Resort, off HWY 99.

Experience bungee jumping in the beautiful wilderness of the Whistler Resort Valley nestled between old growth forests and rugged basalt column cliffs
